I like your SO's style. A friend of mine didn't want to pay the extra cost for an unlisted number, so he had it listed in his late grandfather's name (you can list it an any name you like). When he gets a junk call, he just tells them "No, he can't come to the phone -- he's dead!" That pretty much ends the conversation right there!
